Band - biography

Northern Discipline

Founded in 1996. The band got started due to the impact of Machine Head´s "Burn My Eyes" and wanted to create a very heavy Finnish metal that was so dear to all the members of the band.

Norther DisciplineFor years Northern Discipline has been one of the hardest metal group in the Finnish metal underground scene. Finally the band has the chance to let their music out for the bigger audience. Their most famous recording so far has been the EP, which was released back in 2003. The recording got huge praises all around Europe. The song called "The One" from the EP was chosen into the SUE (Rock magazine In Finland) CD 5 collection and to the Greatest Bits collection through Universal/ Mikseri.net. The EP was also featured as a soundtrack to Arakno´s DVD productions Cage Fight and Fight Festival 8 and 9 (Finland).

This independent EP would have made it possible for Northern Discipline to record their debut album - yet the band decided to evolve their sound and look for better options.

New album "Burn-Beaten Soil" was recorded during 2004 - 2005. CD was released 3rd of March 2006 through Dies Irae Records. The band is now making new material for their second full-length album.
